About Us

Witmer Farms started in 1955 with Brad & Marlene Witmer. Both from Polo, they moved to Mt. Morris a few years after they were married and rented what is now our Home Farm. Greg grew up on the farm and helped his dad out from a young age. In 1993, Greg took over ownership and started Witmer Farms Inc. From there, he continued to grow the farm and acquire acreage all over Ogle County. In 2005 Greg partnered with Chuck Myers and formed Witmer Farms Partnership. Since partnering up, Greg & Chuck have continued to grow WFP and are constantly learning new ways to help improve the operation’s performance. To keep things running as smoothly & efficiently as possible, we have 6 full-time employees to ensure maximum productivity.

When Greg isn’t farming, he enjoys driving his hot rod around town and to cruise nights. He also has 4 children, Kylie, who is the CEO of Advanced Rockford Eyecare; Stefanie, who just moved back to the area with her husband in 2014 to join the Farm as the Marketing Manager & Human Resources; Amie, who lives in Houston with her husband and 2 kids working as the Youth Pastors at Lakewood Church and Bradley, who lives and works downtown Chicago at Rush University Hospital.
